Ken’s Lake Michigan bike trip is getting close, and he has been putting in the work to get ready.

Over the past several weeks, Ken has been training and working out almost every day. He has been building his strength, increasing his endurance, and preparing himself for the miles ahead. A ride around Lake Michigan is no small goal, but he is taking it seriously and doing the work one day at a time.

Ken will be biking around Lake Michigan to help raise $6,000 for Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Christmas Child. That amount would help cover the $10 shipping and handling cost for 600 shoebox gifts sent to children around the world.

As the trip begins, we’ll use this blog to share daily updates from the road. Each day, we plan to post where Ken rode, how many miles he completed, what happened along the way, and any photos or videos from that day.

This will be the best place to check in, see his progress, and follow the story as it unfolds.

Ken will ride at least 100 miles, with a goal of 600 miles. Every mile helps move us closer to the goal of shipping 600 shoeboxes.

You can support the ride by donating through Samaritan’s Purse, sharing this page with friends and family, and checking back for updates once the trip begins.

Proud of you dad! I've always said you could run circles around twenty-year-olds. You got this! God's got your back! :)
